I'm telling you Lieutenant! All hope is not lost! It's not too late! NOT YET! NOT YET! We can still make it! Wha... What's the status of the passengers?! Lieutenant!!!! Captain O'Hara's Journal Log Entry #3 Oh man.. What's this world coming to? Oh yeah... WHAT WORLD? I'm just going even more insane day by day.. the crewmen.. they are sick! I think they are trying to kill me.. No.. It's just me that's paranoid... yes yes I'm sure everything will be alright if we just WORK TOGETHER! We can survive this yes.. Oh man those damn f***ing top brass had no idea what they were getting themselves into! It's done for! But we must go on.. we must keep going.. Year 2777.. It's been 5 years since I was in the service of the Alliance Space Navy as an officer. So me and 2 of my friends headed down to the lower deck of the cruiser we were serving on, SS Grand Prestige, a flagship of the "2nd Alliance Security Fleet". And into the officer's lobby we went, to celebrate our 5 year anniversary as proud officers of the Alliance Military AND for strange coincidental reunion. My rank.. Lieutenant. I was in charge of the security of the crewmen, in case anyone tried to f*** around inside our ship. My good friends, Gordon and Samuel. Gordon went for the Space Naval academy on Earth, a real hard ass. He's a captain already.. Captain of the flagship SS Grand Prestige itself, working under Admiral Santiago, head of the 2nd Alliance Security Fleet. Samuel, he's more of a grunt, a captain of the Alliance Army grunt squads back on land, he graduated from Alliance Troop Academy back on Mars.. He had "chance" to get on board Grand Prestige because the grunts are on board.. As we headed towards a system only known as SL770, with the ships of the Boskara Hive awaited us there. Man, why do I get a feeling that all Insectoids are bad? They attacked the Alliance's military research base on SL770, built not too long ago. But here is the real reason why those bugs would suddenly attack that colony.. Alliance military found something intriguing, an ancient ruin. That was all the information they provided us in the briefing. The real news is, that the group of archaeologists paid by the Alliance government found the ruins there first and then the military research base was built. Something fishy is definitely going on around there. And why would the stupid bugs ever be interested in ancient ruins anyways? Very fishy indeed. After we arrived to the sector, we hyperspace jumped to SL770 without any hesitation. And as soon as our ships slowed down, all hell broke loose. In our fleet, we had (Cruiser)SS Grand Prestige, 2 Destroyers, and 4 frigates. In THEIR fleet, they had 3 cruisers, 5 destroyers, and 7 frigates. All of them besieging SL770. Why the hell would the top brass send us here outnumbered? BECAUSE WE ARE ABLE DAMMIT! Our weapons, our technology, outsmart those dumb bugs! [image]http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/5788/20110117043135222222276.jpg[/image] Haha would you look at that. The sight of their pathetic insect fleet blowing up in huge ball of flame was quite glorious! We've won, and the day was ours.. It was good times. And we went to the lower deck, to the officer's lobby to celebrate our victory. But it wasn't over. Samuel prepared to land on SL770 with his troopers. I bid him farewell. Forever that is. He never came back. He became a small time hero though, for bravery against the Boskara Hive foot soldiers and securing the archaeologists. I'm big time fascinated by "ancient things". What race lived before us and what not. One of the troubled archaeologist came on board, and I personally went up to him and asked what that ruin was about. He says it's way above my pay grade to know, and it'll be his head if he tells. We went through a lot in one day. Professor Lei was his name. He was still scared ****less from what just happened and was so exhausted that he did not care for the government paycheck he's been getting, so he just ended up telling me about the ruin. But just one word was sufficient enough for me to understand. Weapon, he said. Journal Log Entry #3---End Day 4, Date - Error
