karonagames -> Request for data (1/18/2011 2:22:06 PM)

There have been several threads expressing concern that Axis casualties and attrition during the first winter may be excessive, and that the disabled recovery rate is insufficient to ensure that the Axis start the 1942 campaign with enough strength.

To this end, could players post Screenshots, or type in the data in a post, for turn 53 OOB and /or Loss reports. The reports can be either AI or PBEM, although PBEM will be more important as we have found that combat tends to be more intense in PBEM compared to AI play.

We also need turn 53 data from 1942 and 1943 campaigns.

Will do BigA, may I ask what is so important in turn 53?

It represents one year of fighting, and we have benchmark data to compare it to.

Maybe this thread should be stuck up top so it doesn't get buried.  A year of combat for a pbem game can be a while, I'm sure people will forget you need the info.

yea sticking this thread would be nice. But we're going to get our t53 oob and also ping you guys so you can grab our t53 save off the server. We're almost to t30 so hopefully we'll be to 53 by this weekend or next weekend. We're averaging 2-3 turns a nice now.

Hopefully Joel will wander by and do the necessary. 3 turns a day! - Don't you guys have work to do?

Heh well this is the pace we're setting for mud and winter. :) Before we were doing 1 turn a day. If we were lucky 2 turns. It was just hard though. Germany has so much it has to do right in 41 that those turns took awhile. THe russians get so many reinforcements i'd spend most of my time positioning them for a turn. :)

Now that i'm through my biggest reinforcement time i suspect it will get a little more quiet at the end of turns. Sure i'll have to create units myself but at least i don't have to look all over the map in case i miss a reinforcement. ;)

Also since it's winter i want to bang those turns out since it's the GOOD time for a soviet player. With some of my earlier 41 turns i'd open it and my stomach would drop. I'd save the turn and go take a stiff shot of vodka. Then i'd come back an hour later to face the death of my poor boys.

I'm like that with the turns I get from Flavio in our 1943 re-run. I keep trying to second guess the bugger, but he keeps finding new ways to ruin my day![:)]

That's how i feel no matter what game i'm playing with ara. I play the next game trying to go by what he did last game. And it's always a new wrinkle i don't account for. In the end if i play the west (in AT) i eventually can overpower him with the us but man it's a fight the whole time.

I'm sure come 43 i'll be in for more of the same.
