Hi!

I have a Win 7 Ultimate OS. The 1.50 DW:ROTS is run properly, but when i install the update 1.51 or 1.52. Then I start the game, it's crash immediately. The Win 7 didn't give any error report, just the Distant Worlds crashed message.

Installed in admin mode for the patches?

Yes, i tried it in admin mode. The DW is need .NET 3.5, Dx 9, windows media player, internet explorer in WIN 7. There is anything else that need to run the 1.51 ROTS?

Hi sotetvan

Can you please check your Windows event log for any messages related to the crash (Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer) and post them here.

Also note that there is a new file (in addition to the updated EXE) in the updates. This is an image file named "upgradefighters.png" in the folder "Distant Worlds\images\ui\chrome". Check that this file exists in your installation. If not, please reinstall the new version.

Hi!

The upgradefighters.png is existed and in the event viewer there isn't error event int the event viewer from distant worlds.

But I finally solved the problem somehow. I'm reinstalled the game again and i didn't run the 1.51 update, just only the 1.52. And now it works.
