Okay, just went thru 1st upgrade and am seeing some pretty big exp drops.

List of 4 Div I checked.

268th Inf Div at X79,Y63
251st Inf Div at X85,Y46
161st Inf Div at X83,Y42
122nd Inf Div at X75,Y32 (pre) X75,Y33 (post)

Saves available on request of before and after change.

I don't think so. I don't remember anything on vanishing Rifle Squads. Do you have repeatable saves?

I can send you some saves easily Pavel.  Let me go look to see if I can find a before and after save.

If you are playing the Soviet side starting when the 42a Rifle Division TOE came out I suddenly spotted some CVs on units dropping.  I thought it was just due to the expansion caused by the TOE change, but what was happening was that every last one of the Rifle Squad devices was vanishing from the the division.  The Rifle Squad(-) remained but this could me a loss of over 250 rifle squads.  I have a huge surplus of Rifle Squad(-) in my pool (current about 6000 squads, maximum around 9000 squads).

I tried to force fix this by setting the unit to refit, but all this did was fill the entire unit with Rifle Squad(-).  I am now seeing the computer sorting out the mess and Rifle Squads are showing back up in units, unfortunately they have 30-ish experience.  This clobbered my vetran and guards units hard.  I lost the bulk of my 50+ experience infantry.

I also saw this hit a unit with the 41c TOE, so I think the problem may have started with the 42a TOE change over but after that it affects everyone.  I am fairly sure I spotted a few brigades which also lost all their Rifle Squads but again not their Rifle Squad(-).  I have also seen 3 squads show up in my pool that are the July 1943 version.  They are listed as **Rifle Squad...when I look at the squad details they are the 43 version...this is nearly 18 months before they should show up.  They showed up the turn after I build some Motorized Bde, though I have no idea if the two events are related.

I will look tonight for a couple of before and after save files, it was wide spread so finding it will not be hard and I will attach them.

Here are two turns...look at the 160th Rifle division in turn 38 it is 192 experience 60 Rifle squads...in turn 39 they are missing. Since the combined .zip file is too big here is turn 38.

Here is turn 39 where you can see the 160th has lost the bulk of its infantry and now has a CV of 3. If you look around at other unit you will multiple cases where this is occuring...look at the guards divisions attached to the 2nd Shock Army several divsions attached to the 9th Army etc.

Paul, what version you are running?

As I can see you 160th Rifle division (and others) are missing on infantry slot before upgrade. There was a code in one betas which is introducing such missing slots.

Another thing is that when OB upgrade happens you getting rid of those Rifle Squad(-) and switching to Rifle Squad. But you have so many Rifle Squad(-) in the pool that function can swap them out.

In the latest code I have rewrote how the replacement are placed in such a cases. If you removing all the squads and replacing them with the same type the initial experience is preserved, but since you pull other ground elements from the pool, some experience drop is expected, but not so big.

I am running version 1.02 (public). Uhm does this mean that next patch will fix this? Thank you for looking at it and finding a solution.

Any idea why some July 1943 Rifle Squad showed up in my pool?

Something similar happened to my Rumanian Divisions in 1943, most of them were very experienced, CV value of 11-13, and after they upgraded they fall to 1-3. The experience of the rifle squad, same denomination no new slot, drop from 80+ to 20-30. I have saves, if needed.
