I've found that the soft colors of the unit counters are hard to see at the most zoomed-out map level. In an attempt to make the big map a more useful depiction of lines and troop locations, and I have recolored all the counters to stand out more clearly at that level.

This mod is simply a recolored version of the smallest size counters (and only those counters). To use it, just place the attached file into the following directory:
"...\Gary Grigsby's War in the East\Dat\Art\Units"

BACK UP YOUR ORIGINAL FILE in case you don't like this style. This was an incredibly easy mod to do, and you can easily tweak the colors to your satisfaction.

This screenshot shows my changes. German units are deep blue, SS (none in this shot) are black, Luftwaffe are half-blue counters, Russian units are red, Russian Guard are red with a gold bar, Hungarian are green, etc. The Finns (none in this shot) are a paler blue easily distinguished from the German blue.

I loaded up your wee file and I am very grateful that you made this. It really does go a long way to making it easier on the eyes and convey information. Thanks.
