Refit/Ready is only for replacement priority right? I didn't see anything about it making a difference in combat, like I don't have to worry about that state if my units are going to attack/be attacked?

Refit is only priority for replacements it do not affect in combat any other way than inderectly. For this I mean is that if your division has suffered big casulties and you refit it and it gets lots of fresh troops its experience drops.

Still generally most of cases its more wise to refit and go in combat with green troops than go combat with empty shell divisions with higher exp.
