FeurerKrieg -> Japanese LCU Org Chart (2/9/2011 6:59:21 AM)

Has anyone put together a reference in Excel (or any format for that matter) that shows all the Japanese LCUs and what divisions they belong too? I could work on one myself, but just want to make sure someone else hasn't already done it.

brian800000 -> RE: Japanese LCU Org Chart (2/9/2011 6:14:10 PM)

I (briefly) started one for the allies with the intention of doing one for the Japanese as well. I'm also interested in this.

If you want, PM me your work so far. If I start working on it, I can follow you format and maybe we can collaborate and create a comprehensive sheet that covers both sides.

I cant take credit for it but here is something I have.
You have to change the extention of it to work FROM TXT TO XLS. You can't upload stuff with and xls extention. [;)]

FeurerKrieg -> RE: Japanese LCU Org Chart (2/9/2011 8:51:01 PM)

Thanks, Hanzberger. This looks similar to the export from WITPTracker, and it is a good start. I basically plan to add another column for 'Divisional' ownership, so that it is easier to see which units are part of a division and have been broken down in the editor (as opposed to the in-game /A, /B, /C split).

Hanzberger -> RE: Japanese LCU Org Chart (2/9/2011 9:05:00 PM)

Ok PM me your results if you get them thanks or just post them for everyone , better yet.[;)]

FeurerKrieg -> RE: Japanese LCU Org Chart (2/10/2011 7:21:42 AM)

Here it is. I did a turn one CSV dump from WITPTracker, and then did a spin through the Editor one unit at a time to put this together. Some units have 'SubParents' so those are in here too.

Hope it helps. I'm going to ask the tracker guys if they can put this in the LCU page of tracker. I would think it is possible, but who knows.

Change the file extension to .zip and then you can decompress into an Excel file.

Hanzberger -> RE: Japanese LCU Org Chart (2/10/2011 3:00:04 PM)

I will go back into tracker and see what Damian has there for LCU's, I don't think I really took a good look at it.

Chris21wen -> RE: Japanese LCU Org Chart (2/10/2011 4:12:42 PM)

I've attached one it was done a while ago so itmight be out of date due to update.
Note that it's an .XLSX file so you'll have to rename it

Chris21wen -> RE: Japanese LCU Org Chart (2/10/2011 4:18:22 PM)

I've just tried downloading it and got rubbish. Doen't seem to be a text file any longer. Here it is zipped.

No its not, I'm now being told that it's not zipped, but it is. Sorry I give up.

FeurerKrieg -> RE: Japanese LCU Org Chart (2/10/2011 6:24:36 PM)

Thanks, Chris. It downloaded just fine for me and opened as an .xlsx file just fine.

Your sheet looks a bit more elegant than the one I put together. Thanks!

brian800000 -> RE: Japanese LCU Org Chart (2/12/2011 2:32:13 PM)

I've attached what I've done so far--I haven't gotten very far yet. It is in excel, but attached as a txt.

My concept was that I would go through the editor and add in all infantry and armor allied units with their arrival dates, restricted/unrestricted command, and grouped by division (if any). When I finish, I'll organize it so the divisions (along with their components that may arrive/start separately) are in one section, and permanently separated units in another.

FeurerKrieg -> RE: Japanese LCU Org Chart (2/12/2011 6:10:50 PM)

Great, thanks!

John 3rd -> RE: Japanese LCU Org Chart (2/12/2011 6:23:46 PM)

When this is complete please let us know. It would be great to have a hard copy!

If your intereseted I have a preadsheet with this info on but have no way to get to post it as a spreadsheet.

USSAmerica -> RE: Japanese LCU Org Chart (2/13/2011 7:50:51 PM)

Chris, you can attach it to a post, if you rename the extension from .xls to .txt.

It's too big, even split into Allied and Japan. I've also tried to zip it but zip is not supported. I'll open a thread in tech support with I know does allow Zip and bigger files.

Opened the CSV files in Excel and used Excel's NAME and LOOKUP functions. If you know how to use them it's fairly straight forward but does take a sometime. It is easy to screwup so multi saves are necessary.

FeurerKrieg -> RE: Japanese LCU Org Chart (2/14/2011 7:06:20 PM)

Nice job, Chris. Not sure if you follow the WITPAEtracker thread, but they have added a column in there for parent units too.

Now to build this same spreadsheet for the Da Babes.... [;)]
