So I am wondering. Is there any easy way to check the cargo of any particular ship or mining base without having to go through the ships and bases list and finally find the one you are staring at?

on the main map select the ship / base; in the info panel double click it's name and it will take you to that ship / base in the ships&bases screen
atm there is no faster way than this

Well that is at least faster than the way I have been doing it. [;)]

If this hasn't been wish listed it should be. There should be enough space in the ship window when you select a ship to also show it's current cargo on the bottom of the window...

A freighter will have its cargo listed in its mission. "Transport caslon". Though you can not be sure if it is delivering caslon or on its way to pick it up.

And you must remember that in distant world, bases are also ships. You can not fit the cargo of an old space port in that window ;-)

ah yes true. Tho it would be nice to have a quick view sorta button to see what the selected object is carrying.
