There are numerous kinds of visual propaganda, but the propaganda for home use tends to be of the "show a few happy things, don't show the rest"/"don't lie about the things you show, but don't tell anything about the rest" or "keep telling a lie until it becomes the truth" type. In this case, I don't doubt that Christmas in Lappland (mostly stationary front in 1942, staring contest and firing phosphor rounds at the enemy in the summer) or the Caucasus mountain tops (AG A was still hanging around in the Caucasus as Wintergewitter had not failed yet by the time the footage was taken, the Gebirgsjaeger had also been fairly stationary for a prolonged period) could've been like that. What they don't show is Christmas in Stalingrad.
