SeanD -> A Time of Fury is coming - Voice your opinions! (2/25/2011 6:26:26 PM)

The bold next step in WWII strategy gaming was recently announced (more info) and Matrix/Slitherine and the developer Wastelands Interactive want to hear your opinions! What would you like to see new or improved in Time of Fury? What from the previous titles did you very much enjoy and would like to see expanded on?

Time of Fury is in no way an incremental improvement from the previous WWII games from Wastelands, it's a whole new beginning and now is a great time to step in a lend some suggestions and wishes. The developer is listening!

I'm a bit flummoxed about how to reply to your request. I suspect the dearth of replies indicates others are as well.

The most helpful thing I can come up with is to simply look at the most commented upon, yet unresolved, issues posters have with the current ToW and SoP. In my case, I posted many suggestions for the User Interface early on in the ToW threads. Many other posters argued far more eloquantly for more important upgrades.

Having said that, I just finished a throughly satisflying '39 campaign game of ToW; there's a lot of fun and value here.

I can accept a "restart" to communications regarding Wastelands products and sincerely wish them much success with ToF.

We have take a deep look into all issues posted in both forums.
I think that the mentioned User Interface is now far more friendly and will be even more when final polishing will be done. I think that the most vital info will be presented on the screen, and access to the most important features will need as little clicking as possible.

So in your opinion, what would be the greatest improvement for User Interface?

Btw an example of significant development in response to players’ opinions is in the latest info about PBEM. In past people insist on introducing more elegant multiplier and here it is: http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22275

If the battles just happen to be animated at all or anything as well as like in chariots of war and if you can develop your cities and or towns and allocate labor to produce and export a wider array of resources then I am sure this game will be worth at least giving it a shot. I have so never regretted downloading a game made by Slitherine and now its about time they came out with a ww2 one thats just so epic in scale but hopefully still animated enough to keep it all amusing. If the battles are anything as bloody as chariots of war then I am going to totally love this game.
