Gen.Hoepner -> How do you defend your AFs? (2/28/2011 9:32:39 AM)

Hi all,

just bought the game...AWESOME!

However i'm having many difficulties to understand some aspects of the game mechanics.

Above all the defence of your Airfields.

I was used to the WITP system, where you had to sed the CAP percentage for every air group present in a single base and the operational range of it...

Now, despite i tried to change the air doctrine in every possibile way, i can't seem to defend my russian airfields from german attacks.

I mean...not a single fighter, EVER, takes off and intercept the attackers... while they do take off for other intercepting missions (intercepting recon, interdiction and other enemy air missions), they do stand always on the ground waiting to be nuked to hell by german bombers.
That sounds pretty strange to me, considering how the GG's games usually work in this matter.

I'm patched up to the official v.102 patch...

Any tip would be very helpful and appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

GH

for me you could try few things:
put 150 per cent intercept
install 1.03 beta 6
not sure this will make a lot for air
for the 1st russian turn for 41 campaign (just prey)[:D]

Thx mate but it's not working...no matter what i keep on being bombed without a single a/c that takes off...pretty weird[&:]

Even with 1.03 Beta ? There was bugs fixed 1.03 restricting Soviet FB to fly intercepts. Since most of Soviet fighters are FB, this can have quite big impact.
