I'm playing Scenario 1, as Japan, and have Inf LCU 38th Div of 16th Army in Wenchow along with about 2 dozen other LCU's of various natures - attempting to capture Wenchow.

Last turn, the 38th had 34,700+ supplies while many other units were under supplied. During the night an Amphib TF arrived and off-loaded 2 LCU's and supplies. Now the 38th has over 35,000 supply and even one of the most recent arrivals is under supplied by 1 (74 on hand, 75 required) - the other is OVER supplied by 136 (147 on hand, 11 req'd) .

This means the supplies delivered by the TF were distributed at something near +300 for 38th, about 100 (or less) for the 1st Raiding (the -1 unit) and about 200 for the remaining unit (rough guess).

It is most annoying (and I wonder if I'm not having "issues" with taking the hex) having about 2/3rd of the forces CONSTANTLY reading under-supplied, many of these are combat units with an attack value and are expected to ACTIVELY attack, while one unit has 15 TIMES it's listed requirement. And since sending in a TF with supplies augmented the already over-supplied unit, I have to ask.....HOW do I get supplies to these under supplied units?!?!? Even with the 38th keeping TWICE it's demand (totaling around 5,000), the remaining 30,000 supplies would be more than adequate to FULLY supply all remaining units in the hex - indeed, I'd guess that ALL units could have about 4 or 5 TIMES their required supplies (possibly more).

Which version are you running?
There has been some work done in the latest beta (build 2 1108c IIRC) to better distribute supplies.

Otherwise, upload a save for us to look at

I thought I might have an older version (just after I posted) so I ran updater and was told I'm using the latest version.

I have included save 138 which is the day before TF lands and 137 (the day TF lands) - dont' ask [:)]

You are running 1106i which the last official patch.

There is a beta patch 1108c which handles supply between units in a non-base hex better.

known issue but not a real problem as the "under supplied" (usually by only a couple of points) units draw from the other units which act as a kind of depot. A good way to have all your units in "full" supply is to order a bombardment on day one, defend on day two and voila, on day three you´ve got all those units lacking supply at nearly twice the supply need. While I doubt it really matters if the units short on supply are short by a couple of supply points.
