Zoom 5 1941 Historical Line Mod (Full Version)

Redmarkus5 -> Zoom 5 1941 Historical Line Mod (3/16/2011 6:57:05 PM)

This quick Mod puts a 'historical' (I struggled a bit with the fact that you have to edit four separate map files) December 1941 front line on the map, for those who like to compare their situation with the historical one.

It works on Zoom 5 only, so once you zoom in, the line disappears.

There is only one version, so ignore the folder name and paste it into your Zoom 5 folder if you play with hexes on, or your Zoom5_nogrid folder if you play with hexes off.

I am uploading it now and hopefully Cookie Monster will be able to activate it for download soon.

One of us will post here when it's ready.

I was wondering if the phase lines (July, Sept '41 etc.) are also needed, or is that too much info?

Great job Red - one slight point - Tula never actually fell - it was surrounded on the equivalent of 5 out of 6 hexsides. Was made a Hero city in 1976.

Hi!
A good complement is to play on the 41-42 frontline map
in zoom 4. 12 tga files.Here are also dates of occupation for many cities/towns.
One or two frontlines for each month.

A fix for the front line around Tula has been uploaded for CM to administer on the WiKi. Just replace your Zoom 5 map # 02 with this new file.

Ok. I have updated the whole mod pack. I want to keep it compact, therefore I never created a seperate link. Redownload the mod using the same link to update.

Corrected line with units showing - turn 5 vs the Soviet AI. Line looks easy to reach, no?

But seriously, do you want year by year as separate maps or everything on one map? I assume you mean separate ones...

Do you prefer the Summer start line or the Winter 'end line'?

mm.. got problem with my wife too if I play for so long !!

Anyway, separates maps could be useful to avoid confusion. I let you decide whatever you want, Summer or Winter (the hard work is your [:D]).
