i would like to know if other planes (without radar) in a attack group gain advantage if at least 1 plane is equipped with aircraft radar? At the same time, exactly what are the advantages of a radar equipped torpedo bomber during its attack run??
As I see, radar equipped planes at spotting ships before the actual attack run.

AFAIK aircraft with radar get a bonus spotting the target but my squadrons with radar eqipped aircraft get just as many "bombers fail to attack target due to range or weather" just like the ones without radar so I donīt give much about radar in this case.

Radar improves chances to raise DL.

Addendum: Thats all it does. But to say this has no further implications on different game aspects

A little off topic, radar seems to detect subs in ASW search more often.

Besides identifying subs (I guess with the AVS radar right?) what other advantages are there in the radars?

Is it true that just because a plane has rader it may not work as the radar has not reached its operational date ? Like the early Helen?

if itīs greyed out then the radar isnīt available yet, so no bonus

So are radar equipped bombers actually better able to pinpoint ground targets????

The only thing I have noticed is the ASW A/C seem to do better when they get radar. My night fighters (I only have one squadron so far) faired better with having radar then my regular fighters flying night fighter missions.

My night fighters do a little better but not much. But it is the first generation so it may be different later on.
