is the return of the shakturi an expansion or does it include the first game?

other words do I need to buy both? I think I do but wanted to ask

Hi bean5671.

Return of the Shakturi is the expansion only. You can buy the original on its own.

Although, I think after a short time, you'll want the expansion too as it adds alot of improvements. Also, the most recent mods are only for RotS.

There's a patch coming soon for the original DW, so you're covered whichever choice you make. [:)]

Yup you need to buy them both if you want to play RotS, don't buy RotS unless you also buy DW or you won't be able to play... which would be kind of annoying [:D]

I'd recommend getting both as RotS really is great, especially if you want to use mods at any time.  But, you could buy DW first just to make sure you like it [;)]

I bought DW last year sometime and liked it by itself. I bought RotS when it came out and it for me increased the fun level by about 80% which I was pleasantly surprised!

The UI improvements and additional races and storyline definately make RoTS worth it. If you really enjoy 4X type games, you'd probably be better off getting the bundle of both and start playing the expansion.
