Hi Gang
was looking in the sunk list to see if this monster finally sunk or not (4 trops, over 40 shell hits, followed up with 22 1000 pounder bomb hits as it sailed away from the fight)

I am playing #14 as the Allies, Feb 18 1943
well found the Yamshiro sunk, but looking at the ship, it shows it has got 264 25mm type 96 AA guns mounts on the RS and LS

which as a check, I did restart the game as the JP and the ship only shows 8 of each

something go wrong with the upgrade for the ship, or did I just get some bad data during my game ?

only ship I have seen that looks "way" out of line

Looks like Yamashiro in your game scavanged or stole all the AA guns missing from Japanese DDs! :D Or somehow managed to take complete shipping of Drongo's AA guns for herself :D

PS. To understand these lame jokes see thread re AA armament on Jap DDs in main forum... I agree it seems strange.

I had something similar happen in a scenario I designed. I wanted to make the post refit Yamato ( -6 six-inch guns, +12 five inch guns, +250 25mm guns). Of course, modifying the weapons doesn’t work so well with the editor and once I went back to port, they all disappeared. Much later in the war, the Yamato was sunk (poor Yamato). When I checked it in the “sunk ships” display, it had about 280 25mm guns.

My theory is that the program is trying to “repair” the guns from 250 down to it’s normal number of 12 or whatever. When the ship is sunk, all partial “repairs” are lost and the total number of guns is then displayed. Just a theory.

God help her if she ever turned up at Truk in one of my games. She'd be beset by hordes of monkey wrench wielding sailors the second she docked.
