I am playing this great scenario for a few days now and enjoying it very much. I am playing as Serb/Yugoslavia side against Secessionist. I set myself formidable strategic goals and have some trouble to achieve them all. I wonder how more experienced player approach this campaign.
Strategic goals:
1. Eastern Slavonia front
Bulk of my best units are there and prime objective is to take Vukovar as soon as possible (Serb forces are affected by bad shock until they capture the city)and afterwards move units toward capital of the region Osijek.
2. Western Slavonia
My first plan was to use units there to push east and attack Croatian troops defending Osijek-Vukovar line from behind, but in real life Serb plan was to use resources there to brake toward Virovitica and Hungarian border, and thus cut of Slavonia from the rest of the country.
3. Banija-Kordun front
I have only limited plans there, to capture Sisak and Petrinja and form defensive line on the river Sava. unfortunately just like in real life I failed to take important city of Karlovac
4. Lika
Gospic and Ogulin were objectives but considering the fact that terrain is suitable for defence my offensive was slow and cautious and offensive didnt go well.
5. Dalmacia
This was most important front, Serb capital Knin is based here. Main trust was toward Maslenica, and I manage to take it and thus cut Croatia in half(capture of Maslenica caused Croatia -10% replacement, -15% supply, and 90% shock). Besides Maslenica I took Obrovac, Benkovac and Drnis. With luck I could be in Sibenik and Zadar soon.
6. Dubrovnik front
I decided to capture Dubrovnik despite the fact it moved NATO intervention slider for +3. By removing enemy units in there I would have surplus of military power for actions in Bosnia when war spreads there and I hope combined forces from this theatre and Serb forces in Trebinje would be enough to take capitol of Bosnian Croats - Mostar.
