crazyjohn -> Gold questions ? (4/22/2011 6:54:01 PM)

Is windowed mode supported in gold now ?

Compared with the original scenarios russia 41/42 how much faster does the ai take for its turns in gold i mean is it noticeable ?

Are there any changes in how army counters are created ?

I haven't tried windowed mode, so I can't say.

I haven't played Russia either, but xlarge random scenarios go through the AI moves at a rate of less than 10 seconds per nation in my case, so let us say maybe about a minute for the AI moves on a fast computer. I think I read somewhere around here that one of the very large East Front scenarios can take hours for an AI move.[X(]

Edit: I just played a move, and when late in a xlarge random game when each nation has dozens of units, it goes a bit slower. For the last situation in the game described in my AAR "Random take 2", each nation takes about 30 seconds.

There is no windowed mode available in ATG.

Thats a shame playing it in window whilst doing other stuff would be great.

you can use ALT-TAB seamlessly as ATG runs in same resolution as your desktop.

best,
Vic

Is the resolution changeable in atg ?
People tactics ran in a small window why cant atg do the same ?

ATG uses the same resolution of your screen. In my case, on my desktop machine, that is 1900x1020. On my laptop it is 1280x800. I frequently use ALT-Tab or the Window button to get back to my desktop or another app while running ATG. Usually to launch my screenshot app or to check email (or write posts like this one).

Basicly it always runs in a window, but that window takes full screen and doesnt show borders. It has minimize button in top right though.

Vic
