ORIGINAL: luciffer ya, I know AI have some problems, in this game, the AI never willing to attack across river. So German never take puskov, Smolensk, zhitomir and Odessa, and hand me back vitebsk. Somebody said AI would do the same in all difficulty? But before I vs a human opponent, I need to play with ai to learn, at least certain events, such as finn and Romania surrender, inf and tank corps built-up, etc. So in this case, at least I can learn how to bomb ports and repair ports, right? Of course you can learn many things playing against the AI. Don't let anyone tell you different. Sure it might not give you as good a game as a human but it is definitely a good learning and instructional tool. There are those that will swear up and down that playing a human is the only worthwhile way to play, but i disagree. If one wants to play into the later years of the war for example, then i would say playing the AI is the way to go, as it doesn't seem like humans are prepared to play much past the first year of the war. Also if you are like me and are not consumed with "winning" and play more for the experience of it, then i find the AI to be most enjoyable in exploring different setups at different stages of the war. When the AI does fail to satisfy i simply play head to head solitaire, like i did with my boardgames of old. That way i never have to wait for an opponent. Anyway, i digress, but would like to say i'm very grateful for all the time and effort put into the AI for people like me.
