ORIGINAL: Templer For Kaiser, God and country. WWI Has anyone ever thought about a WW I scenario? [&:] Would such a scenario possible? And would it be an interesting scenario? To bring the discussion back to the original topic. It doesn't seem possible to set a date before 1941 in the editor. Of course you could just pretend it was 1916 or whatever, so that could be overcome. I think an Eastern Front campaign might well be interesting. Most people think of the trenches in the west when you mention WW1, and that would indeed be a bit dull to play in WITE, but in the east there was a much more fluid and interesting situation that could well be worth simulating. I am not sure however, how the supply model would cope, but I suppose you could just be very niggardly with the trucks. I see no reason why it couldn't be done. Some weapon types might be missing though. BTW the German experience with fluid warfare in the east compared to the British and French with static warfare on the western front was probably very influential in shaping military thought and perceptions in the inter war years, leading up to the different tactical concepts in the starting forces of WW2.
