GFelz -> Changing Colour of Specific Units (5/17/2011 4:57:38 PM)

Is it possible to change the colour of Shock Army HQs? I know I could easily find them using the CR but was just wondering.

The colour which goes in the middle of the counter is hardcoded. The rest of the counter can be any colour you like. So you could make the red guards another colour for example.

How do you go about changing the color of a counter and what parts of the counter can be color changed?[&:]

Here's an example of whats possible

http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=2718880

Go here

C:\Matrix Games\Gary Grigsby's War in the East\Dat\Art\Units

Obviously your install directory could be D or E etc

Load up counter 9x9 in paint

There the standard counter colours are shown.

So the question is in relation to HQs: I would like to colour differentiate between HQs: Regular Army vs Shock vs Combined Arms. Is this doable? Is there any way of doing it?

No because the colours only affect the different nationality troops. With Luftwaffe, SS (Elite & Non Elite) and Soviet Guards being represented.

There is no way of making one Soviet HQ a different colour from another unless one is of Guards Status that is.

Ok, thanks Cookie.

Google is your friend.

However Paint.net and The Gimp will open TGA's for editing purposes.

Make sure you change the name of the original slightly so you always have a backup.

No problem. My avatar is supposed to be ironic, I used to run around in a first person shooter called Medal of Honor Allied Assault as cookie monster and gun people down.

The name is now taken in the latest MOH, although I did appreciate one guys name of '' Do not shoot me!''
