I wanting to start a long campaign against Tiger Claw. Should we start now with 1.4? Or should we wait until 1.5 is available? If we start now, will all the improvements be incorporated in the newer version? I read somewhere that the patches don't change the stats on ships after the game has started. The patches only change game play.

Is this correct? Should we wait for the patch?

In the thread I saw on the changes in 1.5, I didn't SEE any hardware changes - just game play and combat effects type. But then again, I wear trifocals and have various other maladies which could have prevented me seeing or discerning such things.
