fflaguna -> How to only load a certain amount of supplies? (5/28/2011 8:22:37 AM)

Is there any way to partially load an AK to a certain level of supplies? Sometimes I don't want to send a fully-loaded ship to deliver supplies somewhere, such as on the Guadalcanal scenario.

Any workarounds to help?

The only workaround I can think off is to use a small port to load supplies on your cargo vessel.

Also, setting the mission type to AMPH will cut down the total to 80% of max.

Alternative, but you sure thought of this, is using smaller ships.

AKLs are much more than pickets and TBH IŽd often rather lose a large AK than a 12kt AKL...

Edit: is there such a thing as a 12kt AKL? [;)]
Anyways, what I wrote above also applies to their 10kt cousins.

And by undocking the TF, you will load more slowly, allowing you to stop closer to the desired level. Assuming you have the time for this.

Good point! On one day turns it might be enough.

There is also option to "not load supplies", but amphibious TF will load some anyway. I am not sure if it works without LCUs.

Remember, that there is daily allowance per port, so if you use LOTS of ships, they will load only partially. You can then unload the unneeded rest.
