Tzven -> Negative Population (6/10/2011 9:37:51 PM)

I had conquered the Atuuk homeworld, and was working my way through their colonies when I noticed an odd thing. Despite having no remaining Atuuk citizens anywhere in the galaxy, they were listed as the dominant race of their empire with a population of 1m. Shortly later I had finished mopping up the rest of the worthless colonies - culminating with a blitz of the human homeworld of Mercury (Sol 1), the last Atuuk colony standing.

Needless to say my brave and overwhelming forces crushed the inferior indigenous militias, however I noticed an even odder thing than before. Apparently the humans had a lower regard for the Atuuk than I did, to the extent of considering them negative people. That's incredibly cold, and I don't hold with that.

In the attached screenshot, the humans have a population of 1702M, the Atuuk are counted as -2, with a grand total population of 1700M.

I may have crushed their empire, executed their rulers, and enslaved their entire race, but at least I consider them people.

Even then they still retain a 4% growth rate....underground, not yet exterminated maquis? If you check this colony in the editor the numbers show the same values?

Same values - Some time later I checked back and there was 1m population.
