Nemo121 -> Pickup Game (6/18/2011 3:59:09 PM)

I'm short an opponent in a 1945 scenario game based on AndyMac's Downfall scenario.

I have been playing as Japanese, my opponent was Allies. I'm happy to continue as either side and will allow any prospective opponent their choice of sides. The scenario began on September 1st 1945 and we're at the end of the first week of October so things are really only getting going.

HRs are very limited and basically revolve around limiting the effectiveness of night bombing and strategic bombing as we found those to be too effective.

Japan has been augmented with small production runs of heavy bombers ( ki-264s ) and a greater emphasis on suicide attacks ( land-based Ohkas, suicide torpedo boats, suicide submarines etc ). In return Allied production and pilot quality has been increased and the Allies get an additional 13 CVs as well as about 8 more infantry, tank and parachute divisions.

In short neither side is short-changed. My opponent had to drop out due to having taken on too many games at the same time. The current in-game situation is that the Allies have just amphibiously invaded Miyako-jima, one of the islands between Formosa and Okinawa and the Japanese are trying to respond.

If interested post here or PM me and I can send you a US turn file if you're interested in taking on the US side or a Japanese turn file if you're interested in taking on the Japanese side. Whichever side you choose, I'm happy to play the other.

I'd be interested in picking up as the allies. Problem is I go to Origins on Monday and won't be able to do a turn until probably the 27th or 28th. Can usually do a turn a day after that.

Well, I don't mind a delay in continuing.

I'm just interested in continuing and ensuring that whoever picks up the game knows what they're getting into.

PM sent with email address.

I currently have two GC games going. One for a year where we just hit 1 Jan 43 and the other for a couple of months and its now mid March 42.

Ah I wasn't actually talking about continuing ( although that's important ). I was more talking about the impact of playing a game where, bar a few home rules, pretty much anything goes, the sneakier and nastier the better ;-).
