[:-] indeed

Q.M -> RE: Hoffa's body (7/5/2011 9:10:22 AM)

Well I'll be butchered. Hope he don't get up to dickens in there. [:-]

RD Oddball -> RE: Hoffa's body (7/6/2011 4:32:01 PM)

Hilarious. [:D] Nobody's found it yet? Keep looking.

RD Oddball -> RE: Hoffa's body (7/6/2011 4:49:31 PM)

And as a reminder for everyone the contest as outlined here requires hoffa is found on a map in a game. From the aforementioned link:

Also, don’t forget that our Hoffa’s Body Easter Egg Contest is now starting! For all the veteran Close Combat commanders out there who remember finding Hoffa’s body in the classic Close Combat games, we’ve placed Hoffa’s body somewhere on the battlefields of Close Combat – Last Stand Arnhem. The first person to find Hoffa’s body and send us an in-game screenshot of his location along with their serial key will win a free digital copy of any game in the Matrix Games or Slitherine store!

...

And in case it wasn't/isn't obvious DON'T post your findings or serial number in the forums. While that's "Uproariously funny!" follow the directions above.

Andrew Williams -> RE: Hoffa's body (7/8/2011 12:04:05 PM)

Is anyone looking?

but mick found him located at offset 188090 in CCE.exe

Priapus1 -> RE: Hoffa's body (7/9/2011 12:22:14 AM)

Can we have a clue? Is he hidden in a building? Sitting in a tree? Riding a windmill?

xe5 -> RE: Hoffa's body (7/10/2011 3:22:07 PM)

He's buried in the .exe

RD Oddball -> RE: Hoffa's body (7/10/2011 3:27:55 PM)

[:D] Another good one Xe5. Sorry Priapus1 we can't give any clues. [;)]

Platoon_Michael -> RE: Hoffa's body (7/11/2011 3:12:06 AM)

It's probably in a screen shot in the manual and you guys are gonna spend years looking for it in the game. [:D]

Andrew Williams -> RE: Hoffa's body (12/21/2011 9:56:16 PM)

And the winner is........................... ?

SteveMcClaire -> RE: Hoffa's body (12/28/2011 5:43:12 PM)

It's my understanding that there has not been a winning entry yet. So the opportunity is still there. :)

SeanD -> RE: Hoffa's body (1/22/2012 5:14:50 PM)

We now have a winner for this contest! He is currently in the process of choosing his prize. :-)

Andrew Williams -> RE: Hoffa's body (1/22/2012 9:00:08 PM)

snicker snicker... is it a beta+ patch to test?

Andrew Williams -> RE: Hoffa's body (1/23/2012 10:42:04 PM)

Where is the big front page announcement?

The winner shaking hands as he accepts his prize and tells of the difficulty in winkling out hoffa.

A little need for tranparency in such matters.

kweniston -> RE: Hoffa's body (1/24/2012 10:08:35 PM)

Yeah, that's right. I wanna know more, where TF is Hoffa for example!

TAIL_GUNNER -> RE: Hoffa's body (1/24/2012 10:27:58 PM)

saw him in the data files for the Tutorial missions...but couldn't find him on any of those maps..

kweniston -> RE: Hoffa's body (2/28/2012 12:42:58 AM)

In the meantime, while we're waiting on the patch, where's Hoffa dead body at?

Boer_slith -> RE: Hoffa's body (5/19/2012 5:10:16 PM)

Did we ever find out where the body is/was?

SteveMcClaire -> RE: Hoffa's body (5/19/2012 8:37:16 PM)

There are 10 possible locations for Hoffa's Body. To figure out which one you should see, take the last two digits of your game serial number and add them together.  Then take the last digit of this sum – if it is:

Map                              Location
----------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------
0 = Son                          West-center, in the trunk of the car
1 = Schijndel                 Southwest, in the trunk of the car
2 = Mook                      Southwest, in the river by the jetty
3 = Teersdijk                 North-center, in the back of the truck.
4 = Nijmegen                Northeast, in the river north of the bridge
5 = Bemmel                   Center, in the big stone grave
6 = Heteren                   Northeast, in the river north of the crossing site VL
7 = Arnhem Bridge        South-center, in the river just west of the bridge foundation.
8 = Schaarsbergen        Center, in the wrecked wagon on the road.
9 = Ravenstein              Northeast, in the river just south of the bridge, near the jetty.

So if the last two digits of your serial number are “77”, you would have 7 + 7 = 14, which would be location 4 = Nijmegen.
