Is there any chance that the font size for TOAWIII can be increased for reports?

I use a 1920*1090 widescreen and at 100% text size reading reports is a strain on my old eyes.

I usually run the game at 150-175% for Windows 98 rather than Windows 7 since with win 7 the ingame reports text size is so small. For some reason playing the W98 version keeps text quite readable and much less eyestrain.

I'm grateful for the new patch but the lack of font scaling has taken a lot of the shine off the game for me. Hopefully, this wishlist item will go into a future patch, as I love the game.[:)]

Open your "Opart 3 Fonts.ini" file and edit away. Not sure just which font affects the reports you're concerned with, so, some trial and error will be required. Note: you must specify "windowsFonts = Y" for font options to work.

As an alternate solution, open your "Opart 3.ini" file and enable "ChangeScreenResolution" by setting it to "Y". Then the "ScreenX" and "ScreenY" values will be used for screen resolution when TOAW is running. Then TOAW should appear about the same size as under older systems.

I have the same problem with my eyes. Here try this font file.

@CurtisL and MacGregor

Thanks very much.

Basically the game runs just fine on 1920*1080 widescreen, but it is the fonts on the ingame screens that I struggle with. If I change the text size, the menus all reflect the change, just not the in game screens. I'll try your suggestions.

Thanks for your help.[:)]

It would seem that Matrix will have to make TOAW forums geriatric friendly soon. [:D]

Especially as they're becoming geriatric!

Oh well, eh Gentlemen?
