Hello pal.

I guess You're not the same guy whose advetisement at the Rugged Defense site I have just posted nicknamed cluelessbutwise? Well, I'll wait a little and see what transpires, but if there's no reply to my answer at the latter website I think in a course of a couple of days I basically should be able and willing to try to tackle the challenge as the Entente player. Still I'd like to hear more about the optional rules, house rules and the turn rate You'd like to observe and employ. I have the latest version of the game, PBEM experience of about a year and a half now, have never played the secanrio before and what bothers me is that You have apparently - man, that would be some illegitimate intel for Your side already.

Let me know what You think and I'll catch up with You later on ...

Hi Burroughs

it seems that only a few gamers enjoy such a huge game.
I havenīt found one keeping it up until turn 7.[&:]
If you like I would take the side of the entente, that would give both off us a fresh start.
mail is: requiem72 at t-online.de

I would enjoy it.

Hello again.

That reply came a little late indeed as for all practical purposes an almost full month has passed- I only hope that this is not going to be the regular turn rate in that game as I guess I am going to tackle the challenge as the Central Powers player now for a change - that should basically make up for the fact that You have already played the scenario a bit as the CP as I have also happened to bite mor than I could chew as the Entente player in the meantime. Normally I avoid such sitations since it's like I am always peeking over my opponent's shoulder into his share of cards, so to speak.
Again I would go with all the advanced rules on with the exeption of the high supply which should be off then, no supply and possesion visible and all the designer - promoted house rules in effect even though now I am thinking that the ban on transporting the CP forces into non-European theatres should perhaps be lifted just like the French decision whether to attack across the whole of their Eastern front left up to the Entente player's consideration and discretion.I also think that at the very early stage of war any cavalry unit should not be allowed to dig in in unless in a location already set up for defence by another unit or in a fort hex.Cavalry should be allowed to dig in on their own from late '14, be it autumn let's say which ought to reflect in my opinion a strategic shift in each side's doctrine once the front lines estabilish and there is no further prospect of a highly mobile warfare so the cavalry is not kept in a mobile reserve anymore. Therefore I think that cavalry house rule should affect only the Eurpean - if not strictly and exclusively the Western Front - units and not any other theatres like Mesopotamia for instance where cavalru fought in their classic deployment throughout the entire war.

Let me know what You think so I can proceed with hostilities.
