ORIGINAL: Schanilec You know I have never figured out how to downgrade the aircraft. The only thing that I do is hit the upgrade/no upgrade button in the squadron. I know I'm missing something here. And damn I forgot to check Pearl Harbor last night to see if the carrier groups were getting their replacement planes. Note to self.[8|] And that, milord, perfectly sums up our submission made in the "Rommel" thread re learning lessons. Downgrading is not an option with PDU OFF. With PDU ON you have a much wider inventory of aircraft to "upgrade" to. The upgrade list generally includes older obsolete models. The two relevant buttons are "Upgrade" and the "Upgrade Now". Clicking on the "Upgrade" button takes you to the list of possible "upgrade" models. There you will be informed if there is a scheduled model to upgrade to. If there is one scheduled then it is highlighted even if the model is still some months/years from entering production. Whether or not there is a pre-determined model upgrade scheduled, you can select from the list any model presented. However your choice will not take effect unless you also click on the bottom of the screen the button for the upgrade change to take effect. With the upgrade enabled, two possible outcomes will ensue. The unit will automatically upgrade to the designated model when the upgrade conditions are met. Alternatively, if those upgrade conditions already apply, you can click on the "Upgrade Now" button to manually effect the changeover. Alfred Ok, this I'm stuck on in my Coral Sea scenario. If the "Upgrade" button is on does that mean it will upgrade or do I need to actually click on it to make my planes upgrade? Sorry for the stupid questions, I promise I have been reading them manual, I'm in my 5th turn of this game! [:D] Edit: OK I've done a hash job of properly identify my contribution and what i was quoting. The highlighted comments in bold italic are my response. Alfred
