billd -> Stacking info in editor? (7/29/2011 3:45:21 AM)

Hi guys,

I've been trying to find info on stacking. Someone in the forums said that the there is info on stacking in the editor but I can't find it (I've never used editor). Could somone tell me how to find this info in editor?

From what I've read in forum (1) units should be build to a 50 stack limit and you can (2) attack 1 hex from 1 hex with 100 stack limit and you can (3)attack 1 hex from 2 hex's with 100 stack limit. Is this correct so far?

The info I'm trying to find is stacking limits for attacking from 3 or more hex's.

Thx in advance

Hi.

Concerning your point 2 and 3, both yes. So therefrom follows (IMHO) that your point 1 is also true. I mean, yes you can build units up to any strength, but because of point 2 and 3 I think it's convenient to just stick to that "50" point rule.
I know some build units up to 100 strength, but then you have a problem when attacking from 2 or more hexes.
The stacking rule is; 100 max when attacking from 1 or 2 hexes, add 50 when you attack from more hexes. So 3 hexes would make 150 points (that's 3 counters in my games), 4 hexes = 200 points, and so on.
Max stacking rule for an unit in 1 hex is also 100, meaning if you get attacked/bombarded and your unit is quite a bit oversized, it also receives a stacking penalty.

Hi Josh

I just found that the stacking info comes up in the mouse-over bar when setting up an attack. I don't know how I didn't see that before..

Cheers

Yeah you're right, I've been playing it so much I don't notice things like that anymore. LOL
I'm having much fun playing Panzer Corps right now, but it won't be long before I'll go back to a more satisfying, more complex game, namely ATG.
