Hi. Concerning your point 2 and 3, both yes. So therefrom follows (IMHO) that your point 1 is also true. I mean, yes you can build units up to any strength, but because of point 2 and 3 I think it's convenient to just stick to that "50" point rule. I know some build units up to 100 strength, but then you have a problem when attacking from 2 or more hexes. The stacking rule is; 100 max when attacking from 1 or 2 hexes, add 50 when you attack from more hexes. So 3 hexes would make 150 points (that's 3 counters in my games), 4 hexes = 200 points, and so on. Max stacking rule for an unit in 1 hex is also 100, meaning if you get attacked/bombarded and your unit is quite a bit oversized, it also receives a stacking penalty.
