(7/31/2011 12:24:50 PM) Units essentially never surrender automatically anymore, and surrenders due to combat actions/as a result of a battle are not listed in the surrender column but in the combat column. I noticed the same thing last week and asked Pavel about it, who said that the surrender column is only for automatic surrenders during the logistics phase, which may no longer be possible and are at best extremely unlikely to happen.
