E, what game was that label printed on?

Empire: Wargame of the Century. An almost risk-like simple game. That was and still is addicting as hell.

Josh -> RE: games you just keep playing (9/5/2011 4:02:51 PM)

A definite +1 Terminus.

PrinzHenrich -> RE: games you just keep playing (9/7/2011 10:16:36 PM)

Alien versus Predator 2
:P

Perturabo -> RE: games you just keep playing (9/7/2011 10:25:44 PM)

Screaming Demons: World War I. A stand alone mod for a sim with awesome physical damage model.

It allows flying stuff like a paper bird-plane with co-pilot armed with a revolver and giant bombers that are almost machinegun-proof[:D].

You tell'em Terminus! +1

OldSarge -> RE: games you just keep playing (9/9/2011 2:11:07 AM)

I've been playing Steel Panthers since its first release and later with SPWAW. I leave it for a while but always seem to come right back to it. It has found its way to every one of my machiines. [8D]

mytony -> RE: games you just keep playing (9/10/2011 4:08:48 AM)

video games with much battle are very exciting.

Gilmer -> RE: games you just keep playing (9/10/2011 6:22:00 AM)

If I replied before, I forgot to mention. Titanquest. What a game. For the price it is almost unbeatable. Diablo like but set in Ancient Greece and surrounding areas. Massive game. And a vibrant community that mods it a lot.

Yes, yes they are!

what a clever spambot you are to notice!

Championship/Football manager for me, I think. I've had one version or another on my HD since 98 or so almost without a break. I keep saying I'm not going to buy another update but I'm weak...

Titanwarrior89 -> RE: games you just keep playing (9/11/2011 1:52:15 AM)

Some of GG's War in the East and 4 hrs of DAK2.  Wife busy and not bugging me.[;)][:D]

Perturabo -> RE: games you just keep playing (10/14/2011 7:39:45 PM)

In the end, it's just Armored Brigade and Operation Flashpoint.

Zorch -> RE: games you just keep playing (10/14/2011 8:59:24 PM)

The greatest computer game of all time, MULE! On my faithful Atari 800.

LOL. Perhaps you should try the new free remake:

Strat-O-Matic Baseball
Replay Baseball
Action PC Baseball

I like Baseball. I also own about 30 Matrix titles that I try to play on a regular basis.

ilovestrategy -> RE: games you just keep playing (10/15/2011 10:37:21 AM)

To this day I still play Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion.

I looked at the website but still do not understand the objective. What does the game do? Is it like the Civilization games or a sim civilization?

Zorch -> RE: games you just keep playing (10/15/2011 11:24:44 AM)

ilovestrategy,

The idea is to get more $$$ than the other players, as strange as that may seem to us strategy gamers.
Kinda like Wall Street vs the Occupiers.

PlanetMule is ok, but just doesn't have the same feel as the original.

ilovestrategy -> RE: games you just keep playing (10/15/2011 6:57:03 PM)

Thank you Zorch!

parusski -> RE: games you just keep playing (10/15/2011 8:03:06 PM)

My list is longer than it should be:

SPWAW
Forge of Freedom
Railroad Tycoon 3
WitE
AT Gold
Age of Empires 3
CIV III
CIV V
World of Warcraft
Heroes of Might & Magic V

Wargamer74 -> RE: games you just keep playing (10/15/2011 8:29:05 PM)

For pc games

GG WAW AWD
CEAW

Xbox games

Fallout3
Red Dead Redemption, a great game if you like the old Clint Eastwood Spaghetti Westerns.

ilovestrategy -> RE: games you just keep playing (10/15/2011 9:07:50 PM)

Fallout 3 rules. I love that game.

Zorch -> RE: games you just keep playing (10/15/2011 9:34:32 PM)

Civ II is still my favorite Civ!
And Sid's Alpha Centauri, too.

I've put over 100+ hours into that game and still haven't explored everything on the map.

Lieste -> RE: games you just keep playing (10/16/2011 12:53:22 AM)

BftB - also testing
ABde - some design input
SB ProPE
SS2 (with various mods/fan missions)
Targetware 0.63 (defunct, but I still fly 'my' customised Bf109 FM from time to time).
LBA2 - played (along with SB) with my daughter...

Chronically short of diskspace, and machine to too slow for 'modern' graphically intensive games.

cpdeyoung -> RE: games you just keep playing (10/16/2011 4:59:04 AM)

World War II - Road to Victory.

The earliest version of a WW2 game from Wastelands/Matrix, and still my favorite.

Faster , simpler, and fun.

Vincenzo_Beretta -> RE: games you just keep playing (10/21/2011 4:53:40 AM)

The Operational Art of War in all of its incarnations.
Same with JT's Campaign Series

Panthers in the Shadows and Tigers on the Prowl II are absolute classics. No chrome but all meat: just watching how many mms of armor your Tiger I penetrated with his latest direct hit is awesome. I still play them today and I never tire.

Slilent Hunter III with the GWX mod.

And the three original Combat Missions. These are the games that basically never leave my HDs.

bairdlander2 -> RE: games you just keep playing (6/14/2012 3:20:04 PM)
