Shilka -> Wide screen problem / laptop 15.6" 1366 * 768 native res (8/8/2011 11:28:11 PM)

Hi,

I just bought a new laptop with a 1366 * 768 native resolution with Windows 7 Home Premium, but I just can't seem to change it from the original AE-resolution of 1024 * 768. The Y is ofcourse the same at max but X leaves the blank vertical spots on the game scenario screen.

I try as the manual suggests with the following command line:

"C:\games\witp-ae\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -f -px1366 -py768

Or might it be just because the Y can't be increased, so I'm stuck with the same X and the blanks also? Does anyone have experience with this resolution, is wide-screen possible in any way?

Thanks for any help.

Oh and the version is the newest official patch, 1.1.0.6i.

There were hidden white spaces in between the dash (-) and px.

Try this one. Cut and paste the line below to your target line. (The hidden characters have been removed).

"C:\games\witp-ae\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -f -px1366 -py768

That line got it to work on the newest beta patch, but on the 1.1.0.6i the resolution wouldn't budge no matter what. Strange.

Well I'll be playing the beta from now on. Cool, thanks!

Originally the new screen settings needed to be bigger than the default.
I changed it to "greater or equal to" later but not sure when. But most likely after 1106i[:D]
