Fellow Warriors, I know some of you are ever interested in expanding your minds so here is my bid to help you do so. Also if any of you are playing the Tulagi campaign you may find some useful if not interesting information here. Semper Fi 1stSgt http://www.usmarineraiders.org

Hi Top, I just visited your web site, and I thought it was fantastic. I've been out for twenty years and some of those posters made me want to put my blues on again!! Thanks Semper Fi Randy

Randy "Hi Top, I just visited your web site, and I thought it was fantastic." This is not my sight, I am only midly dangerous when it comes to computing. A group of original Raiders and their descendent's created this site and organization. Also I understand and know the origin of "Top" but the only ones called Top in the Corps today are the Master Sergeants and Master Gunnery Sergeants. But I do appreciate the term as you are applying in in my case. Besides A top he's got the hardware that shoots in his insignia, my just shine just looks pretty. Semper Fi 1stSgt

1stSgt, thanks for the correction. I guess I have been out longer than I thought! Since you are currently in the Marines, does the game help with conducting real tactics? When I was in ROTC they would encourage us to play the board games (like I said that was over 20 years ago though). Thanks Semper Fi Randy

Randy, I forgot to say last time I posted, thankyou for your service my family and I are very grateful. About the correction don't sweat it Wardog. The Marine Corps is very heavily into all forms of tactical simulations. They even have a few first person shooters, you would be surprised how much the gun club has changed. I know in force we used a to run some sims for certain types of missions using army programs at Bragg. One of my Platoon Commanders has a fantastic Tank Sim, I can't think of the name right now I may have the link to their site though. He uses it all the time with his tank crews. 1stSgt, thanks for that info, I've often heard about that game. Is it pretty good? For Christmas I got this book you might be interested in. Its "Marines Under Armor" by Lt Col. Estes. It has some good info about the evolution of Marine Corps armor, plus some good photos. Thanks again. Semper Fi Randy

Speaking of the Raiders, there is a personal site by Dan Marsh, a real Marine Raider who was there. His son, Louie Marsh (one of our own Raider Team)maintains the site. http://www.geocities.com/Pentagon/Quarters/3805/ This site is another one you'll want to visit. Dan is a great fellow!
