here is an updated Public Beta in the Members Club that improves the Editor and changes a couple things with Random Games. We are looking at making this official next week. Please check it over and post any feedback you might have. You game will need to have been registered, and remember that once you have added a beta patch the Updater will not work properly until the next official update. V2.08 – August 11, 2011 Random game changes: No resource option bug with engineer road building is fixed (for games started in v208) Deserts are no longer so rectangular Editor: Fixed an issue with set all units ready in a grymme scenario. Fixed an issue with old message exec Added a CheckCompareString Added a CheckMin and CheckMax function Added logic operators =>, =< and != for scripting purposes. Limelight as you can see there has not been so many changes made to the previous setup of the game. Engineers were having difficulties in building bridges over rivers, if I remember correctly. And the deserts are shaped randomly and not as square boxes. So more of an optical change. The other changes are more to do with the editor and less with game play. So as mentioned in the copied thread, the beta will be publicly released soon. 2.07 as well as 2.06 were not released, and I'm assuming now because changes were made before a release date was shedueled. Now the 2.08 will be safe. If you've bought the game, you will have wanted it registered to get the full service - which includes upgrades and any other changes. Players that had previously bought AT and had their game registered had the offer to buy buy ATG and a reduced rate. So was well worth registering the game. Who knows what Vic has in mind for the future There is no secrect handshake or club. No player is forced to upgrade, but he will miss out on a more balanced game experience. Of course if a player wants to play pbem, then both or more players will have to play with the same patch or version. But again no one is forced to play pbem or H2H. Think it over and decide what is best for you. But you definetly trust Matrix and Vic that they want the best of the game for all players. I have no business dealings with Matrix or Vic, I am just a person who has been enjoying AT for years and now enjoys ATG. I am earning no money in pointing out the benefits of upgrading in the members section. Mat
