Just do as they say. Install it in a different folder than Panzer Corps main folder.
And then copy these files from Panzer Corps to them folder where you've installed Afrika Korp.
PanzerCorps.exe
PanzerCorps.TXT
autorun.exe
panzer_launcher.exe
ScenarioEditor.exe

Alternatively, if you use Generic Mod Enabler, just copy the main folder of Afrika Korp to the MODS folder, without having to copy the files above.

Okay, I did it.
Is it (this new campaign) in the other folder with the officials? Am I running the game and I'll see it?

(Btw... It's very funny the "ranking" system in the other forum; lovely graphs for the Wehrmacht's medals!)

Riko -> RE: Africa Corps (11/11/2011 7:54:55 PM)

@andrewmazlim

Well, as LUFTWAFFE PILOT fan, I gave myself LUFTWAFFE ranks.

And you didn't told me HOW am I suppose to run this AFRICA CORP mod...

Riko -> RE: Africa Corps (11/11/2011 8:49:16 PM)

Exscuse me, my english is not so good, i use my school english or google.
And when in answer the questions, which in dont understand 100%, it is better to say nothing, as i speak wrong.
but at dmp we have german people, who speak english as well and english people too.
if i now explain you, how to run africa, it is a fight for me. [:(]

I suppose you don't use Generic Mod Enable, so its a stand alone installation. You've only to copy those files I mentioned before to the right places where you installed Afrika Korp.
And yes you'll know that you are playing Afrika Korp, because even the main menu is different from the original.

andrewmazlim -> RE: Africa Corps (11/11/2011 10:12:15 PM)

I did what you said; I copied the files in this "different" location (I installed Africa Corps) and I'm running the exe file from that directory...
...and I'm getting ERROR MESSAGES ("HTMLayout.dll not found"... & "Could not find data file")!

VPaulus -> RE: Africa Corps (11/11/2011 11:35:41 PM)

That's because you're not copying the files to the right place.
Let us suppose that you have installed it in C:\Africa Corps
Inside Africa Corps folder, don't you have another folder called Afrika Korps? That folder is the main folder of Afrika Korps mod.
Copy those files I've mentioned before and run from there Panzer Corps.

Moltke71 -> RE: Africa Corps (11/12/2011 4:02:48 PM)

My experience was like so:

I changed drives from "C" to "H" and the installer created a whole new folder named "program Files (x86) and then did the \slitherine\ Afrika Korps thing. This method assures that everything goes where it should. Copy those 5 files over and you're set. I created my own desktop short cut. Be sure to click on the Afrika Korps 1941 campaign as the Tutorial Campaign doesn't work with the mod.

No, THERE ISN'T any sub-directory like that, only a SINGLE directory ("Graphics") and only two files (unins000.dat & unins000.exe)! Nothing else...

VPaulus -> RE: Africa Corps (11/12/2011 10:41:58 PM)

You're doing something wrong and I can't tell you.
How big is the file you have downloaded?

James Ward -> RE: Africa Corps (11/13/2011 12:48:02 AM)

Make sure you get the actual mod, you may have just downloaded the hot fix. It's easy to do by mistake, I did it. The hotfix is only 2+MB. The actual mod file is ~500MB.

Lapwing -> RE: Africa Corps (7/8/2012 1:39:53 PM)

I too had difficulty getting Africa Korps set up right, though I've done it now. Drop me a private message if you are struggling. By the way my father was in the 8th Army in North Africa. He was drafted in 1940 and sent there in 1941. He's passed on now but in his things was his army sewing kit (a basic khaki cloth pouch for a few needles and darn)but in the corners of the kit are still grains of sand! The few photos he has show, him and his mates dressed like hobos in a complete mixture of army clothing, frolicing naked in the sea, a comrade on the toilet, and a few close up of his and his friend's faces (none looking particularly stressed in any way). From my father's many stories his war didn't seem to feature any of its horrors, and he liked Germany so much he and my mother had their honeymoon their in 1960.
