Well maybe getting rid of the 1:1 rule is better for the game, but it will completely bork the on-going game that I've been playing for several months, where my German opponent has built up level 4 forts across the front under the existing rules and I get to attack them without the 1:1 rule, which based on what I've seen in recent turns will be an exercise in futility. Not very happy about the effect on on-going games (there are some of those, remember?!).

For these situations we strongly suggest that you install two copies of the game on your hard drive and only update one of them. That way you can keep playing old games under the old rule, while playing new games with the new rules if desired. Can't give you a date. Things keep coming up. We are making progress though, and hopefully it won't be too long of a wait.
