One Jar Jar coming up...
The biggest problem with Jar Jar is that he is the kind of guy (creature) whose heart is in the right place... if you were hanging off of a cliff with a rope, Jar Jar would never let the rope or you go... but he is such a... a... a... something that he would probably bungle the rescue and you would both die...

He is a menace to both sides...
I laugh Luxwana Troi, but Jar Jar is a weapon of mass destruction with a big heart... that will be fun to code... [:D][sm=00000289.gif][sm=00000280.gif]

Well, I certainly do not have Eve's skill... not at all...

But I spent a good percentage of my vacation working out the bugs in my mod...
Including a very HUGE one where DW would not start... too many characters (which to me is the fun of the SW universe).

Some of the big fun was getting the character identifiers (like admiral, ambassador, and so on) out of the face of the picture... :D
But a lot of things got fixed.

I will be embarrased to put mine out in comparison to Eve or IGard or Haree... but it will get there SOON.

Too many characters? What's the limit then?

I confess to starting out with a few more.

I have resorted to having characters only with primary races... the Republic, CIS, HUTTS, criminals... [8D]

I am actually preparing to test again in a couple of minutes... I have another question I want to put out though...

After doing a search through the forums, Erik confirmed that there was no limit on characters or character images. I saw where you were trying to assign characters to the non-playable races, and I'd be willing to bet that is what caused the issue.

TJ, sorry I missed your earlier posts on this. The Picard Era mod has 244 character images, and somewhere over 1100 characters in the text files.

I think Ed found that having over 500 character images causes some longer load times. I don't thing there's a limit on the character text file sizes, but perhaps you'll experience a drop in performance with too many images.

I've got a few mods with lots of images on mine and run them with no problems. I'm on a Win 7 machine, I-7 Core (quad core), with 16 GB of RAM and a Radeon 7770 graphics 1 GB DDR3 RAM. Now I don't think I've had any go over 500 images yet, but I might be a good test bed for finding out the absolute upper limits if one with 500+ character images ever comes out.

No, I did not do that; I was warned not to, so I did not try that.
It is time to try the old tried and true method... add one character file at a time and see where it blows up.
