Rune Iversen -> Some more AFV pics (10/22/2002 7:51:46 AM)

Allright, I have tried the tests in the forum. While they were funny, they were also a bit easy (std. NATO WAPA AFVs)

Now try and recognise these:D :

All are either Danish or Nordic in origin/modification.
Im sorry about the images, but it was the only way I could do it. (if somebody knows a better way, please tell)

Have fun:)

Wow! #2 looks like a modified M-41 Walker Bulldog.

Correct, it is a modified M41, it was demobbed in 1998/99

Look here:
http://www.armyvehicles.dk/m41dk1.htm

It was a cavalry/recon tank used in dedicated Recon units. It was quite silent for an AFV (often people would mistake it for a truck, boy were they surprised:D ). Quite fast too, being able to drive at 110 kmh on roads. With the upgraded ammunition, it was able to take out anything up to a T-72

Rune

I have a question for you. Since you seem to collect all the Danish fighting vehicles.

Do you also collect Danish OOB data?? I am mostly looking for the late eighties time frame. I have quite a bit in an OOB I created a couple years back. Another Dane made a few corrections for me but it never hurts to hear from others on the subject.
