all i know is that with past waw versions i didn't have problems with upgrade. but if i don't mistake v.3 was only temporary. i know this is not a good advice, but: try. i always think that upgrades make things best. but if you are in a lomg campaign, finish it first, and then upgrade. i think you will feel better :-))

I have continued to play old campaign with upgrade and have had no problems. It just that changes in the new oob will not be apply to your old core unit until you upgrade them.
