matt.buttsworth -> Rail Conversion NKPS UNITS (9/19/2011 10:08:48 AM)

Hello,

It is 1944 and I have four NKPS units converting no railways at all.
What can I do to make these units convert railways hexes?

Thank you

Matthew Buttsworth

if i'm right you have to employ them
same as german in 41
you are speaking of units arriving from 9/42 (for the first)

HELLO

MY NKPS UNITS HAVE ARRIVED AND HAVE BEEN DEPLOYED IN ROUMANIA BUT THEY HAVE NOT DONE ANYTHING. THEY ARE NOT ON TRAINS BUT THEY HAVE BEEN ON AN UNCONVERTED PIECE OF RAILWAY LINE FOR MONTHS AND HAVE NOT CONVERTED ANYHING.
WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO SO THEY CONVERT CAPTURED RAILWAY TRACK.

THANKS

MATTHEW

I don't understand why nobody has responded here. [&:]

For the German units you move the rail repair unit onto a broken rail hex, next to a good hex, and then click on the RRC letters on the unit profile on the right of the screen when you select the unit. That repairs the hex. If you have additional movement points remaining, you can move to the next hex and if your movement points are greater than the 3 points needed to repair, you can repair it as well.

Here is a pic from the Axis side, which I assume is the same for the Sovs as well.

Maby because information concerning this subject is on page #63 of the manual under section "5.3.1.4. FBD/NKPS RAIL REPAIR" which includes the screenshot very similar to the one you attached to your very sweet post or maby because the OP was typing in caps which obviously made him look ~LEGIT~, or perhaps both of these above mentioned reasons. Who knows...

Knew someone would say that... they always do, in these parts.

Personally, it took me about a miniute to make a screen and provide a very clear explanation to help out a mate.

And someone, such as yourself, could have simply wrote "you can find that on page #63 of the manual under section "5.3.1.4. FBD/NKPS RAIL REPAIR".

But nobody did.

Not my concept of "community." [:-]

Cheers,

Ray (alias Lava)

Was anticipating you to reply in a similar fashion. [:)]

Actually I missed the opportunity, because you already had that subject covered before I even opened this thread. So naturally I decided to be helpful as well by pointing out that there is such a thing as manual and rather useful thing I dare to add. [8|]

I mean failing to find some basic information is pretty weaksauce stuff. I can understand some vague information can go unnoticed, especially among hundreds of pages of the manual, but that stuff was basically screaming to get noticed if the guy had put at least the mininum effort into pressing the keys [Ctrl] and [F].

I'm not trying to be a d-bag here, just not slacking to pull a "prank" on a guy who was slacking. [;)]

I have to agree. For a game of this complexity you really do have to read the manual. Not trying to sound harsh, just pointing out the reality.
