ird -> HQ build up??? (9/27/2011 11:27:59 AM)

Hi
I'm trying my first GC 41-45 against the AI and I cannot find the HQ build up button for my Corps (I am playing as the Axis). I'm currently in turn 10 - 21/8/41. I have checked the manual and know where the button should be but it's not there. Can anyone help?
I suspect I'm missing something obvious which someone will hopefully point out to me

Thanks

Forget to mention - I am aware the build up can only be done on Corps units which haven't moved in that turn

On any HQ, buildup will be on the right half of the HQ info area, near the bottom.
If you are not seeing "HQ Buildup" on the HQ, then the HQ is ineligible.
You are probably ineligible because you're further than 19 MPs away from the railhead, which is max distance at which it can be used, OR the HQ moved this turn (can't move the HQ if you're doing buildup).

Thanks for your reply Helio. I just checked and was about to shoot you down in flames BUT then had a look at a different Corps and HQ Buildup was available. Must be something to do with the railhead - altho some which haven't moved and don't seem to be 19 hexes away from the railhead don't seem to be eligible. Maybe something to do with supply lines??

Anyway thanks for clearing it up for me. I'd not seen the bit about the railhead

It's not 19 hexes, it's 19 movement points to the railhead. This has to include ZOC costs, too.

Ah. I fully understand now. Cheers for that [:)]

Its 20 mp now.

heliodorus04 -> RE: HQ build up??? (9/28/2011 1:27:58 AM)

Are you sure about that?

Yes
