I was a big SSI fan a long time ago and owned all the Panzer General series. I now Own Panzer Corps, What other turned based games not just WWII but any war games do you suggest. I am looking for ones that are straight battle,no weapon development or political strategy just like Panzer Corps and are there any demo's ?[&:]

Battle Academy for sure. I do not know if a demo exists but I cannot se how you could fail to like this title. Field Of Glory will be another you should take a close look at. Both games available here.

RYAN have you looked into Steel Panthers World at War, the basic game is free, add ons Ie: Mega campaigns are sold by MATRIX. Check it out.

Squad Battles by HPS or the more recent from John Tiller games. Lots of wars to choose from.

I also suggest battle Academy an SPWaW or SPWW2.

Conflict of Heroes is in Beta testing which if like the baordgame will be a must buy.

It's a travesty no one is making a more upto date turn based tactical game..Combat Leader which had so much promise was dropped...something I will hold against Matrix Games for ever...only kidding...doesn't hurt as much as it used to ;)

You might want to look at Panzer Command Ostfront. It's turn based, but it's at a much smaller scale than Panzer Corps or Panzer General. there is a Demo available. So you might want to take a look at the demo and you can see for yourself if it's something you might like.
