...& Supplies and Armament Points Production?

I have two questions about the game manuals wording for Sections 21.1.2 and 21.1.3.

Section 21.1.2 HEAVY INDUSTRY (SUPPLIES) PRODUCTION AND ALLOCATION indicates the following:

quote:

For example, in 1941, 1000 tons of resources will be required to produce the maximum of 1000 tons of supplies per factory point for the Soviets. In 1943, 1550 tons of resources will be required to produce the maximum of 1550 supplies per factory point.

The above implies a 1:1 ratio between resources and supplies produced for both 1941 and 1943. Is the second sentence supposed to read: In 1943, 1000 tons of resources will be required to produce the maximum of 1550 supplies per factory point?

AND

Section 21.1.3 ARMAMENT PRODUCTION indicates the following:

quote:

To continue the example from above, in 1941 100 tons of supplies will be required to produce the maximum of 500 tons of armament points per factory point for the Soviets. In 1943, 200 tons of supplies will be required to produce the maximum of 1000 tons of armament points per factory point.

The above implies a 5:1 ratio between supplies and armament points produced for both 1941 and 1943. Is the second sentence supposed to read: In 1943, 100 tons of supplies will be required to produce the maximum of 1000 tons of armament points per factory point?

Manual is wrong on the the HI ratios as it was changed to 1000 Hi produce 500 supplies and it will cost 500 resource points. As amount of "effective" HI raises the requirement also increase.

Every arm point produce 250 armaments which cost 50 supplies. The ratio doesn't change when effective amount of factories increase.

Thanks Helpless.  Understood regarding the change in the ratio of Resources required by each HI point to produce Supplies.  Unfortunately I'm still confused regarding the tables showing the yearly percentage modifiers for both HI production of Supplies and Armament Point Production from Armament Factories.

One additional Question regarding what is meant by the term "build cost".  Each potential Aircraft, AFV, machine gun, artillery piece, etc etc etc shows a "build cost" associated with the particular item.  For example a Soviet 85mm Antiaircraft gun has a build cost of 32.  A Soviet Model 1941 T-34 has a build cost of 357.   In the case of the 85mm Antiaircraft gun, does the "build cost" refer to how many Armament Points required to build one 85mm AAA gun?  Conversely for the M1941 T-34 does the "build cost" refer to how many supply points are required to build one T-34 tank?

Marty,

For ground elements like a German Flak 88, build cost is expressed in armament points, which are created from supplies by Armament factories (see 21.1.3). For aircraft, AFVs and combat vehicles, build cost is expressed in tons of supplies required to produce the item (see 21.1.7). When calculating the build cost for aircraft, divide the build cost listed in the equipment database by 20 to arrive at the tons of supplies consumed to produce that A/C. When calculating the build cost for AFVs and combat vehicles, divide the build cost listed in the database by 10 instead.
