The battle rage on, further losses in center. One Tiger destroyed by bazooka, so is one PzIII. Brummbaer gets some action, I loose some men. One Sdkfz AA destroyed. You have now spotted one of those 3 inch that have been harassing your advance.

AbsntMndedProf -> (10/26/2002 7:00:38 AM)

Not a good turn for me. I took out a couple of bazooka teams and lost two tigers, one to your 3 inch DP gun and one to a p-38.
:(

I the commander of the Us Btn have a complaint to make! You gerries are not offering enough juicy targets anymore!

North one Sdkfz 7/1 and one Tiger E lost to M9 Bazooka teams. In the center the Brummbaer forcing itself to the VH's are destroyed and so are it's crew. Further in the center one Armed inf.sqd bite the grass duelling with Ge cavalry. Som eof the cavalry spotted are forced back by an M3A1 and some backup. One Tiger hit several times by 3 inch, nothing.
South and rear three PzkpfwIIIj(s) are shot to pieces, one by a Mitchell diving in.

AbsntMndedProf -> (10/27/2002 5:57:11 AM)

Awwww! My heart bleeds for you! :D

Not much happened this turn. Two FW190s attacked your forces, and managed to miss both their targets. We will see if we can provide more 'targets' in future turns. :)

A soldier's advice. Hand over the FW pilots to Gestapo!

This turn we loose 3 M3 HT's, all to 8.8 cm Kwk guns. In return we destroy one Sdkfz 251/1 and have another ones crew abandon the vehicle. One rifle sqd is destroyed, a few crews. My AA shot down your HS129, which managed to destroy one M3HT. As a final, my B25 Mitchell appeared from your rear, and with it's 75 mm cannon killed one advancing Tiger.

Several infantry units exposed for you now. They're on the move.

I will not be able to take any turns until earliest Friday, sorry.

AbsntMndedProf -> (11/3/2002 12:47:58 AM)

Nothing to report this turn.

Eric Maietta

peter hellman -> (11/3/2002 6:49:33 AM)

Hmm, let me count... One Tiger, one PZIII, some cavalry that's about it. Time to aim for those VH's I think.

AbsntMndedProf -> (11/3/2002 9:34:22 AM)

Congratulations! You kicked my butt. I'll be away until Monday. We can plan the rematch then.

Eric Maietta

AbsntMndedProf -> (11/3/2002 9:34:59 AM)

Btw, my password was 'doandoon'.

Eric Maietta

peter hellman -> (11/3/2002 2:50:01 PM)

Okay, thxs. My password was "ilkka".

As we talked about earlier, it wasn't maybe the most balanced setup., after all.:rolleyes:

I'm ready for a new one, maybe you'll set it up?;)

AbsntMndedProf -> (11/3/2002 8:36:42 PM)

I'll be taking off soon. I'll probably be back home tomorrow afternoon, and will set something up then. Do you have any preferences as to sides, year, or engagement type?

Eric Maietta

peter hellman -> (11/4/2002 2:24:12 PM)

No special wishes. If you like, we can also have an attack / defend scenario.

AbsntMndedProf -> (11/5/2002 1:04:54 AM)

Another assault/defend battle would be good. As I now understand it, the assault to defence ratio of points is 3:1 in SP:WaW. Given that, which would you rather be, the assaulting side, or the defending side?

Eric Maietta

peter hellman -> (11/5/2002 4:26:30 AM)

I give you the choice, both is a good one.

Ain't it easy;)

AbsntMndedProf -> (11/7/2002 12:32:51 AM)

Ok, here you go! Germans, me, defending against British, you, assault. Germans, 5k, British, 15k. 10% atty. No air. Tally-ho! :D

Eric Maietta

peter hellman -> Not the turn yet (11/8/2002 1:26:58 AM)

I already made the deployment, then I came back here, then I noticed the arty was 10 %. I had planned to use the arty to crush everything living on your side, so I bought 8 inch batteries for 12000 pts.:p . Now I have to replan the battle!:cool:

I'll be back, if the wife allows:rolleyes: , this evening or latest tomorrow morning.

This will be a great fight!!!:D :D :D

peter hellman -> (11/8/2002 3:17:52 PM)

The Royal Forces are ready to rock, as soon as we finish the tea.

AbsntMndedProf -> (11/8/2002 4:43:36 PM)

I see you enjoy a nice smoke with your tea! :D

Eric Maietta

peter hellman -> (11/8/2002 9:01:51 PM)

Yes I do, and me and my men are looking forward to light our smokes from a burning Panzer!

Its a sandstrom btw.

AbsntMndedProf -> (11/8/2002 10:55:38 PM)

We're waiting. Your 25 pounders put on quite a display! Too bad they didn't hit anything. :D

Eric Maietta

peter hellman -> (11/10/2002 4:36:10 AM)

Just showing our presence. And all is part of a great great plan.

Still we see only sand...

AbsntMndedProf -> (11/10/2002 5:48:28 PM)

We await the arrival of the British forces! This sandstorm is making life very interesting. :rolleyes:

Eric Maietta

peter hellman -> (11/11/2002 6:40:34 PM)

First Contact is Made!!! Result, one Daimler shot to bits. Payback is closing in...

AbsntMndedProf -> (11/11/2002 10:32:40 PM)

Gary Tatro just posted that the ratio between attacker and defender in a human vs. human battle should be 2:1, not 3:1 in the thread 'AbsntMndedProf vs. VikingNo2'. In light of that information, do you want to continue this battle, or restart with a 2:1 point spread?

Eric Maietta

peter hellman -> (11/12/2002 3:01:26 AM)

Heh, in light of that it would be unfair to continue. I would say, that there's two options. I could leave some forces untouched, but on the other hand that would also affect my masterplan. I'd say post me the same battle with a 2:1 strenght ratio, and I'll make a new deployment and so on. If possible, the weather doesn't have to be sandstorm. The movement is awfully slow. Of course the visibility of 7 favors me, but if the visibility would be slightly more say 10-14 it still isn't bad for me, but it'll give your long range guns better opportunities also?

Yep, just send the next one, please;)

Now, I don't think we should exchange passwords not to reveal our setups.

AbsntMndedProf -> (11/12/2002 2:55:03 PM)

6/42, Germany 5k, Britain 10k, 10% atty, everything on except c & c. Tally-ho! :D

Eric Maietta

peter hellman -> (11/13/2002 5:55:41 AM)

I'll post the turn on a new thread.
