Hmm, I find this helpfullness and transparency vey disturbing :). I am not used to it.

P.S. A question for everyone, who are the beta testers for the new expansion?

Hi everyone,

We're running a bit late so we've decided to make the formal announcement over the weekend, with the additional screenshots, feature information on characters, etc. However, I'll post a few preview screenshots here this evening along with a few details on characters and also informally announce the winner of the creature contest. The official announcement should be posted tomorrow or Sunday.

Hi folks,

I might be a bit late with this but I was taking a closer look at the screenshots (http://www.matrixgames.com/products/415/details/DistantWorlds-Legends) and there are a few that hint at how 'wonders' work. They appear to be in the research tree and look similar to how Civ wonders are implemented - the first empire that completes the research of the wonder gets the bonuses it offers. Interesting...it's going to mean that the player will have to think a lot more about how they're going to queue their research.

If the wonders work like that, specialization will play much bigger role in research, which is good. I remember this from both Alpha Centauri and GalCiv 2. It was always exciting race against enemy nations when developing/building these "super-projects".
