Chad Harrison -> New GC vs AI: Beta good enough? (11/2/2011 11:47:12 PM)

Hi all

Finally have enough time to start a GC against the AI. I really like the new beta features, but I hesitate to play with it beyond experimenting.

Is the beta stable enough to start a GC? Once started, I dont have enough time to start again, so I dont want to get a month into it and find out that there is a game breaking bug - at that point I would not have time to start over . . . again.

Thanks in advance

Chad

In my opinion (and from someone who used to live in Boise many years ago), the betas are very good. On rare occasions a bug is found, but MichaelM does a superb job of fixing them soon after they are reported. I have no hesitation upon installing the newest and greatest beta. He has done more than could be asked of anyone to improve the gaming experience.

Again, just the opinion of an AI only player.

Current beta is pretty smooth.  I have 1 PBEM & 1 AI game on it atm, no issues.

The current beta mostly fixes bugs as opposed to a lot of new features that might have bugs.  The code will probably never be 100% bug free (pretty much impossible with a large program), but the current beta is probably the most bug free version to date.

Sounds like a go then.

Thanks - and thanks for all the work on the beta.

Chad
