The Japanese Panzer Corps strikes deep in the jungle mountains. Only one road, but they control all 46 miles of that one road. 12 Feb 1943. Not to much happening. Just retakiing lost territory: Baker/Holland Islands, Funafuti, Horn Island, Guadalcanal/Tulagi, Milne Bay and Rossell Island. I can't seem to dislodge the 40,000+ Japanese troops facing Port Morseby. China is stable for the time being. In Burma, took back Akyab and stalled for now. That is about it until the retaken forward bases can be built up to handle heavy bombers.

The Japanese biggest sub (with 300 paratroopers) is sent to American East Coast. The Glen (is that the name of its floatplane?) then air drops the 300 guys: 150 sorties are needed (2 guys per sortie: only very thin and short guys are used for this mission). They are dropped over the White House. FDR is surrounded but heroically annihilates the 300 guys with his heavy machine gun mounted on his wheelchair. And no, FDR is not annihilating the Japanese two by two. The Japanese are using a device which freezes the time (like the one you have in Wolfenstein) and then attack en masse. FDR only has 60 bullets though [;)]

Yes somewhat. Great fun. I'm having a blast. Not much in carrier battles. I think I attritted IJN crrier planes. Just as well. It seems I can usually get two carriers operating at any one time. Those pesky Betties you know. Hornet is out again for the second time for three months from a single torpedo hit. Just getting the Saratoga back after 11 months in the shipyard. Enterprise is refitting. And the Lexington was sunk in March 1942 off Wake. That was my fault for not approaching from the North. An eastern approach cost me. That is when the Sara took three torpedoes trying reach and help the Lex. Lesson learned. Got the Shoho Southeast of Port Morseby though last June I believe.

When I started reading that last post I thought you were going along the lines of: "Executed carrier raid near NG in Feb 42, had a carrier battle in May, think I sunk Shoho, damaged Shokaku, attrited Jap CV aircraft, but lost Lexington in return. Also turned back invasion of Port Moresby. Think my opponent will invade Midway, and maybe the Aleutians next, thanks to sigint." Then I realized that's the opposite of this thread!
