I bought it using chrome. I have a pretty picky browser setup as default (no cookies, plug-ins, javascript). The order went through fine after the usual dance of allowing stuff like javascript, and despite having to reload (and lose) the final confirmation page, download link in mail was working just fine. On my brand new installed windows 7 (64 bit) launching by the quickstart failed, however, but updater was OK.

Windows 7 Didn't like the download pop-up for me, but by clicking the link in the email it downloaded no problem. Other problems might be indicative of too many people buying the game at once? This surely must be one of Matrix's best-selling days ever.

@ Erik: I bought the ROTS download on its release with Indentity Safe on in pretty much the same order and payment way with no problems. It is just this time with Legends that the order site seems more fussy. Perhaps there is a field in the order form that the auto-sign-in feature of Norton is trying to fill with my forum log-on that is causing the issue this time. Still, all is well with myself now.

Downloaded and playing...just took a break :) Awesome and loads of fun....now to figure out these leaders... I have 4 already. I got a yucky starting spot....no colonizable worlds yet....and my neighbors all hate my "alien ways" I used Chrome as well. No problems in store...

Can't download. Purchased about 4 hours ago, tried to download and the download link didn't work. Tried again and then again and nothing. Let the last attempt set for 3 hours after clicking Save and zip. Now Plimus says that I have no downloads, very nice. Sent them an email as well as Matrix and with the holidays I should get a response in a week. Any Matrix guy around who can help me out? Thx [:(]

If the purchase completed while you were logged into our site, you can also request a new link yourself through our Members Club. Any game purchased through our new store and registered in our Members Club gives you the ability to use our new automated system to get a download link as well, whether our support folks are awake or not. Hey, do you want to know how to cook Kaltor Recipe for roast Kaltor: I am sorry to our friends at Europe, being a stupid American, I do not know metric measures. Crumble up some bread, and mix it with a butter/egg mixture. Take kaltor, place it on a 2x4 piece of wood, maybe 5 feet long. Baste it with butter. Add one tablespoon poultry seasoning per 25 pounds of kaltor Add sage Add lemon peper Place in the oven at 350 degrees fahrenhiet. About 30 minutes into roasting, take the butter/egg mixture, and pour it over the kaltor steak. Cook and addition 2 hours 30 minutes. Then... and this is the critical part of the recipe: pull the kaltor out of the oven, throw away the kaltor, and eat the 2x4 board you cooked it on... Serves 6... and it tastes like chicken.

Well, this looks like it would be an interesting game. But I think the price of $64 just isn't competitive enough. I know some folks might say, you can get the original for $27, but I don't want to play an older/partial game when there are expansions out there, simple as that. It's disappointing this game isn't sold as a bundle as other games+expansions are, to make it more affordable. $64 is $4 over what a really big budget game costs... so the value really isn't there on a game that's hard to find info about. Too much risk compared to other games with lots of info available on them. Well anyways, I made a forum account so I could give my feedback. There you have it. I'd like to buy it sometime, if the price is more competitive, but $64 is too much to step into this to find out.

I have had the same issues with trying to pay a while back ago and I discovered it was infact Norton Identity Safe. I bet that is what's going on with others. Logging out if ID Safe always fixed the problem.
