Legends travel vectors poor performance

I love travel vectors, but turning them on at any kind of zoomed-in view slows the whole game to a crawl. Everything becomes extremely laggy, with very low fps and 1 second response times on mouse-overs and clicks. They seem to be ok when fully zoomed out.
